Supermarket prices, collected by everyone.
Every receipt someone scans in Coinchi contains real prices: what a product cost, in which store, on which day. Together they form a price comparison based not on flyers but on actual purchases.
Free in your browser. Android and iOS apps are in beta testing, coming soon to the stores.

How the prices come about
When you scan a receipt, Coinchi recognizes the store, date, branch address, items and prices. These prices flow anonymized into the shared comparison: what is stored is what cost how much where, not who bought it. Store names are standardized (“LIDL”, “lidl” → Lidl) so that prices of the same chain come together.
Product names on receipts are often abbreviated or in another language. So Coinchi matches spellings, quantities and units – 1 kg and 500 g become comparable, and a liter of milk stays a liter of milk.
Honest, not polished
A community price can be outdated or misread. That is why Coinchi shows with every price how old it is (“today”, “3d ago”), whether it comes from your own receipts or from the community, and marks converted estimates with ≈. At an equally good price, your own receipt wins. Prices on a receipt that deviate noticeably are flagged so misreadings do not go unnoticed.
The more join in, the better
The comparison is only as good as the receipts behind it. In cities and chains with many scans it is denser; elsewhere it grows with every new receipt. New users see community insights such as popular products and average prices from the start.

Frequently asked questions
Where do Coinchi's prices come from?
Exclusively from receipts that users scan in the app. There is no purchased price data and there are no advertising partners.
Can anyone see what I buy?
No. Only prices per product and store go into the comparison, with no link to you personally.
How up to date are the prices?
Every price shows its age. So you see right away whether a price is from today or from last week.
What does the ≈ in front of a price mean?
The price was converted, for example from a different pack size, and is therefore an estimate.
