Coinchi lives on many people contributing a little. Three things help the community most – and each one earns you Coins.

1. Scan receipts
Every scanned receipt delivers current prices for the community prices. Receipts from stores that few people scan yet are what make the comparison possible in your area in the first place. How the receipt scan works.
2. Correct recognition
If text recognition misread a price or name, you correct it with a tap. That improves your own overview and prevents a wrong price from skewing the comparison for everyone.
3. Add products
If no database knows a barcode, you photograph the ingredient list – and from then on everyone else sees ingredients and allergens. More about the barcode scan.
Coins and ranks
For receipt scans, barcode scans, corrections and contributions to the product catalog you collect Coins and move up in rank. Coins are a thank-you and have no cash value.
